2cAcp. For the e46 M3, very high mileage to me is pushing 300k miles. I haven’t seen too many with that kind of mileage. I own an e46 ZHP Vert & M3 at this point I’m pretty committed to the E46. As a first car going for a high mileage M3 you should devote atleast 2/3 of what you spent on the car immediately on maintenance.
I'm +1 to the E46 M3. Super biased as well because I recently purchased one but I have to say that I don't think it looks dated at all. Still one of the better looking cars out in my eyes. I was originally on the market for a non-M E9X but saw a listing for an E46 M3 nearby. Once I saw the condition that it was in, I couldn't pass it up.
