The merchant upgrade trick works with most of the DLC set items. The easiest way to see what can upgrade and what can't is to look up the various items in the Dragon Age wiki. For example, if you look up Warden Commander Armor on the wiki, it says Material: Varies (Tier 2-7). However, an item like the Blood Dragon Plate says Material: Silverite

DA2: 1) Fenris 2) Anders 3) Isabela 3) Merrill 5) Seb. Much as I’m not actually a fan of the Andersmance, can’t deny that he is THE story driven romance to go after. DAI: 1) Solas 2) Dorian 3) Sera 4) Iron Bull 5) Blackwall 6) Josephine 7) Cassandra 8) Cullen. Dorian and Solas are both likely to show up next game AND they’re both personal
This mod attempts to improve the game by using imported assets from later games to improve continuity. It also improves the stats on select pieces of equipment; the improvement is based on the context of the item and is not meant to introduce overpowered items into the game. I tried to keep as close to canon as possible for all changes in this mod.

It's 2 in Origins and 3 once you reach Awakening. And you can't use any of the Awakening stuff in Origins unless (I'm assuming) you mod the game. Also in Awakening (and only with mods in Origins) you can respec any time, so it's not like you're stuck with what you build.
UbsY. Yeah, this time we take a look at one of my favourite games, Dragon Age! I hope you like this video, and maybe you want to tell me your opinions! Disclaimer:

Better RTO Items (Dragonbone to Volcanic Aurum) - Edits the material of Cailan’s Armor Set and Shield, Duncan’s Sword and Dagger, and Maric’s Blade to spawn at T7 Dragonbone, which can then be level scaled in the usual ways to T8 White Steel and T9 Volcanic Aurum. The chest piece is best left at the lowest tier possible so a rogue backstabber can wear it without wasting points in strength. Best backstabber armor inthe game. Other melee characters have better options. PSN: Masamune19. Friend Code: 4785-7458-1463. Philas 12 years ago #5.
My canon Warden is Dalish but my favorite origin would have to be Casteless Dwarf. It doesn't add much to the overall lore/plot of the Dragon Age series or just DAO alone but it's a good standalone story IMO. Best origin varies depending on one's standards. Dalish is best when it comes to overall connection to all games; Human Noble is best
